This breast cancer awareness month we are proud to bring you the story of Marta and their fight to go flat after breast cancer.

Marta was keen to share their experiences in the hope that they might help others. In the interview below they describe how being a genderqueer patient in healthcare feels like walking on eggshells and never knowing if coming out will help or hinder them.

Despite these barriers, they share how they feel that being queer is truly a gift and how it can help you to better handle the changes that cancer can throw at you.

Stories and perspectives like these are so important as we push for greater visibility in cancer care, so from everyone here at Live Through This, we would like to say a huge thank you to Marta for having the courage to share their story.
