Our ground-breaking Chest Checking Guidance has been picked up by the press this week, with features in both The Face and i News. Read more below:

"There needs to be a new language – a way of discussing cancer that affects trans people."

Ian Duncan, deputy speaker of the House of Lords, speaks to LGBT reporter Patrick Strudwick for i News about losing his brother to ovarian cancer and the importance of trans inclusive messaging in the cancer sector. An honest and open interview discussing his experience and his wish for a better future. Supported by a great overview of trans health in cancer from our trustee Dr Alison Berner.

“I would not want any other trans person to go through what I did and not come out at the end of it. I’m just so glad that I can give back something to my community."

Rob speaks to reporter Alim Kheraj for The Face, discussing his experience of breast cancer as a trans man. Alim weaves together Rob’s powerful story with quotes from our Founder Stewart O’Callaghan and trustee Dr Alison Berner to highlight the necessity for trans specific support and guidance.

Rob took part in the development of the Chest Checking Resource and we are proud to support him in sharing his story.
